But Sam, Cat doesn't want to fight.

Nickelodeon aired it's last episode of one of it's most popular television shows, 'Sam and Cat' on Thursday night. The show was a spin off of two hit Nickelodeon shows, 'Victorious' and 'iCarly.' While it is a little strange for a show that is doing well to be cancelled, there are a few factors that played in to the process of the cancellation.
Number one, some pretty racy pictures of the 'Sam and Cat' super star, Jennette McCurdy leaked online. The pictures weren't nude shots or anything like that, but they were enough to probably get her in trouble with Nickelodeon; and maybe a few unhappy parents.

Number two, there was a falling out between McCurdy and her co-star Ariana Grande. There was a rumor going around that Grande was paid more than McCurdy. Grande took to twitter saying, "I hate addressing rumors and I hate gossip but this is really bothering me. Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards (as we should be, considering we each work just as hard as the other on this show). The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false. I don't know who's putting these idiotic quotes out there but I thought I'd straighten it out and try to end this nonsense."

This twitter post was went viral right after McCurdy was found absent from the Teen Choice Awards. She and Grande were both nominated for best actress, Grande took home the award. Still, no one knows the real truth as to why McCurdy did not attend. She took to her twitter and said, “I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me,” she continued on to say. “I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you.”

Later on McCurdy posted that her disappearance from the Teen Choice Awards was not at all about the photographs that were leaked but about the way she was treated by Nickelodeon. Since then, she and Grande have unfollowed each other from both Twitter and Instagram. While Grande stays very connected still to her character, Cat Valentine and her music career. McCurdy seems to be doing the exact opposite for herself. Both Grande and McCurdy have been posting pictures on Instagram, but one has to wonder when they're looking at McCurdy's Instagram. Has she been getting high?

While Grande's Instagram post better serve her as an individual, she also comes off as the bigger person on all her social networking sites. On Sunday the singer took to her Facebook and Twitter pages, “I want to thank Dan Schneider for allowing me to play such a special, beautiful character who I hid behind for so long. What I mean by that is when I was younger, people loved Cat so much I used to pretend to be more like her. It took me a long time to be brave enough to separate myself and show people how different we actually are....”

Many Arianators and McCurdians have been showing their support and love by commenting and making pictures on Instagram for their beloved Cat Valentine and Sam Puckett. Yet, McCurdy has still not said a single word about the show being cancelled or anything about her character. At the rate she is going, it's only a matter of time before the McCurdians join the Ariantors. Unfair things happen to people everyday, but it is only when one embraces the negative that they can make room for the positive.
