LK: Please tell us more about your company:

PLPR: Pretty Living PR, owned and operated by Charissa Lauren and Allyn Lewis, is a national full-service public relations firm catering to fashion, beauty, event, and lifestyle companies. We launched in early 2013 and specialize in company promotions, publicity, press relations, branding, event planning, and strategic marketing. In addition to our PR firm we publish a bi-annual magazine (Pretty Living Magazine) to further feature the companies we work with and show our lifestyle to the public. Ultimately, Pretty Living PR is a positive brand to bring out the beauty of life.

LK: What is the purpose of your company?

PLPR: We founded the company to offer guidance and strategic branding to businesses of all sizes. We have a true passion for working with business owners in achieving their goals and dreams. We extend to offer full-services to cater to each business owner. We do everything from graphic design, business plan, social media management, brand development to event planning and beyond. Additionally, we wanted to take part in the growth of media and fashion industries outside of the prime cities of New York and L.A. We want all states to have equal work opportunity within fashion, beauty, lifestyle and media throughout the region. By growing the brands within these states, we think that's the first step in seeing these companies succeed.

LK: Who are your ideal clients?

PLPR: Our preference is to work directly with fashion, beauty, event and lifestyle businesses, but we additionally participate very often with nonprofit organizations for fundraising campaigns and events as well. Both my partner and myself are active in community philanthropy and strive to encompass charity in all of our work. Our previous events have benefited UPMC Cancer Center for Melanoma Research, The Autism Center of Greater Pittsburgh, Gwen's Girls Inc, and Fair Girls Inc. Additionally, we are representing a few nonprofit organizations with Pretty Living PR.

During the interview, we discovered that Pretty Living PR deems their company as a positive brand to bring out the beauty of life. Their company believes that business owners considering a public relations firm must first determine brand identity and ideal target customers. Pretty Living PR recently launched Pretty Living Magazine and they will soon introduce Pretty Living Weddings which is a PR and wedding planning branch of their company. In addition they are working towards building their national clientele. To see more information about this company, click here.
