Bush Avenue duplex fire raging inferno

Firefighters are called out to a duplex on Bush Avenue late evening on Monday shortly after 7:30 p.m. As fire units drew close to 119 Bush Avenue the company officers and crews could tell they had a working fire and could see smoke and fire coming from the duplex. When the fire trucks stopped near the structure they hurried and began to approach the dwelling and began to extinguish the fire.

The raging inferno was destroying a six family member dwelling called home. Firefighters worked hard to bring the fire under control and save some possessions and part of the structure but the fire had already took a great toll on the home and its interior possessions. The duplex was a total loss due to the intensity of the fire.

Three firefighters were injured while battling this blaze and had to have medical attention to burns they received from the intense heat of the fire. No civilians were injured, hurt or killed at this fire near five points west of down town Mobile.
