Burt Reynolds has been admitted at a Florida Hospital in the intensive care unit for a case of the flu. According to TMZ on Jan. 25, Reynolds was admitted to the hospital after having symptoms of the flu for several days.
Reynolds was not in the intensive care unit when he was first admitted to the hospital but after being admitted symptoms got worse. Reynolds was actually moved to ICU today after it was determined by doctors that he was dehydrated.
Erik Kritzer, a representative for Reynolds, told CNN that he is doing better this afternoon and will be moved to a regular room again once he gets enough fluids. Doctors are optimistic that Reynolds will make a full recovery. Kritzer declined to provide the exact hospital Reynolds is in when he was asked. Kritzer said they wanted to keep it private.
Burt Reynolds is known for his role in the TV series “Gunsmoke” and in several movies like “Smokey and the Bandit.”
