October normally marks the coming of fall in Colorado and the end of the car show season. If you were outside at all last weekend you can see why. One day it can be 80 degrees and the next 50 or below with rain, sleet or snow. In celebration of another season change and what is supposed to be (fingers-crossed) a nice fall day, the Sunday Afternoon Car Klub and Burt Chevrolet are putting on a car show at the dealerships location on Broadway just south of Belleview. The show will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a raffle and food right there onsite.

For those of you unaware of the Sunday Afternoon Car Klub, it is the Colorado Region of the Lambda Car Club International (LCCI). LCCI is a national club that promotes the fellowship of LGBT and LGBT supporting people who are interested in the automotive hobby. Especially in today's climate where teen suicide and bullying have been catapulted into the news, it is a good time to come together as LGBT community members and LGBT community supports. The Burt Chevrolet car show isn't just about showing of some hot cars, but is also about raising some money and awareness. There will be food onsite, provided by Burt Chevrolet, at no cost with an optional (but encouraged) donation that will benefit The Center in Denver 100 percent.

The Center provides many services to the LGBT community, including legal, youth support, community support, advocacy and more. A non-profit, The Center only thrives through the donations provided to them. You can visit them at their website or at their new location 1301 E Colfax in Denver.

All of this to say, if you are in the LGBT community or a community supporter, then come on by the Burt Chevrolet dealership to see more than a dozen classic to modern cars and meet the people that make up the SACK car club, a club of more than 60 members strong. Are you interested in cars? Hot rods, sports cars, customs, classics, foreign...then you should join us. For less than $50 a year it is quite the group to belong too. If you want more information send me an email for more information here.

See you all there tomorrow!
