Hearts on fire at Church in the Park

See also

The folks from Burning Heart Ministries have been igniting friendships in Baltimore. At the end of Jones Falls nestled behind the Police precinct is a little park next to St. Vincent De Paul church. At Church in the Park, this is where classes collide and divisions cease to exist. After a stop at Panera Bread for a fresh donation of baked goods, fruit and beverages, teams of volunteers meet to bring care to people whose lives have been tainted by severe hardship, health issues and social epidemics. Stories, hugs, tears, laughter and prayers are shared and hearts are warmed. This is in sharp contrast to the true detriment, the general absence of regard for others that exists in our society on the daily. The message here is clear; love and forgiveness, healing and hope. This example of respect is essential and called for to fill the chasm and balance our sense of oneness so that lives do not continue to fall through the cracks of social negligence. Thank you to all of those who gather and contribute to open such doorways and possibilities.
