Before they made their way to parties to ring in the New Year, several hundred people participated in a Burning Bowl Ceremony at Unity North Atlanta. In an atmosphere of love and support, everyone was encouraged to "release and let go" of those things that they feel no longer serve them, such as fears, doubts, and grudges. After reviewing 2012 during a meditation, people wrote down the things they needed to let go on a small piece of special paper, took the paper to the front of the church, lit it in a candle flame, and dropped it, burning, into a huge bowl. The flames transmuted the energy of what was written on the paper, symbolically and literally. To activate the power of creation after letting go, each person wrote a Letter to God - a letter that speaks of the wonderful things that the new year, 2013, will bring. The letter was written as if the good things in it have already happened. These letters were left at Unity North in self-addressed envelopes and will be mailed at the end of 2013. At that time, the recipients will be able to see how well their vision unfolded. For some, the realization of their vision will be nothing short of amazing.
With fresh energy and a bright outlook, those who took part in the Burning Bowl Ceremony this New Year's Eve are stepping into 2013 ready to manifest a wonderful year.
