Burner holds early lead among Democrats vying for 1st CD seat

Early polling in the newly drawn 1st Congressional District shows Darcy Burner with an impressive lead over the remaining five Democrats vying for a place on the general election ballot in November.  The poll, conducted by Lake Research Partners, found Burner at 45 percent among voters who said they would pick a Democrat in the top-two primary. Burner was followed by former state Rep. Laura Ruderman with 15 percent, state Sen. Steve Hobbs with 13 percent, former Microsoft executive Suzan DelBene with 12 percent, state Rep. Roger Goodman with 10 percent and tech executive Darshan Rauniyar with 5 percent.

According to Dean Nielsen with the Burner campaign, the poll sampled 504 likely primary voters from throughout the district and had a margin of error of 4.4.
