Aspiring soulful singer Burnell Taylor made it through two cuts on "American Idol" Wednesday.
Following a strong solo performance, that earned him a ticket to the group round, Taylor took the stage to perform with a group that was selected for him, including Darien Moses, Mario Jose, and Tony Foster.
Watching him perform a rendition of "Some Kind Of Wonderful" by Grand Funk Railroad, Keith Urban felt as though Burnell Taylor struggled a bit.
"I really love your easy confidence when you perform, but in comparison to the other guys, I felt like I was loosing you a little bit. Part of it was that you were off the mic and the pitch got a little shaky, which is unusual for you," said an honest Urban.
After deliberating with fellow judges Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban decided to save Burnell Taylor and send home both Darien Moses and Mario Jose.
Do you agree with the judges and their decision to keep Burnell and Tony?
"American Idol" airs Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on FOX.
