Before you dig into the chips and hot wings, pre-burn calories on two great walks in Portland, Oregon.

Saturday, February 2, 2014 enjoy the traditional Pre-Super Bowl Walk from McMenamins Kennedy School, Portland, OR. This free walk has two 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) loops, and you can do one or both. One loop will take you in and around Concordia College and past their Baseball Field. The other 5KM loop will take you through the Alberta District with quaint shops and eateries along the way. Both Loops will go through some of the older neighborhoods of the area. They are both suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
Register and start at any time from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Finish by 3:00 pm
Location: 5736 NE 33rd Ave (McMenamins Kennedy School), Portland, OR. The event will start/finish in the Gym.
Optional IVV credit is available for $3. Non-Credit participants are Welcome - All must register, carry and return a start card.

Sunday, February 2, 2014, you can join in a group walk of the Portland Waterfront at 09:30 a.m. from Ondine Hall at Portland State University, 6th Ave and College St., Portland, OR. You can join the 5K (3 mile) group or the 10K (6.2 mile) group. Please arrive early enough to sign in so the walk can begin at 09:30. This is primarily a group walk, but all are welcome: fast walkers, slow walkers, and new walkers. The 10K usually moves at a brisk pace. If you want to do the 10K and have doubts about your ability to keep up, please check with one of the leaders.
