On Monday March 11, Cleburne Diabetes Education and Support Group will meet at Texas Health Harris Hospital in Cleburne and the address is 201 Walls Drive in Cleburne TX 76033. In the session you will learn or refresh what diabetes is, how to keep it under control and when to phone your doctor. The instructor will be Suzanne Pritchett RD. On Tuesday March 12, The Burleson Public Library 248 S W Johnson Ave bill be the location of teen life skills classes. The topics under discussion will be communication, emotions such as fear and anger, how to make decisions and interpersonal skills. These classes are free for all youth to 17 but you must register by calling 817-335-4673 Extension 1100 or click on www.achservices.org. The series will be held on Tuesdays and are scheduled from 5-8 p.m.
There are also sessions available which deal with an individual skill such as anger management, dating etc. Please call the above number for more information This course is paid for by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
On Tuesday March 13, the Burleson Public Library 248 S W Johnson Ave. will be holding a Teen Game Day event. The game of the day will be Heroclix. On a board you and your buddies will use your favorite comic book figurines, either hero or villain, to act out a game which comes from your imagination.
