Is Burger King promoting McDonald’s now? Nope, their Twitter account was hacked yesterday and instead of their Twitter promoting them, the hacker promoted McDonald’s. The Tweet said, “We just got sold to McDonald’s. Look for a McDonald’s in a hood near you.”
Not only did they tweet that but the avatar was changed to the McDonald’s avatar which is, of course, the Golden Arches. The background also turned to red and the McDonald’s twitter homepage was changed to a picture of their fries and nuggets.
This hacker referenced Anonymous who is a well-known hacker who hacked the Steubenville, Ohio Big Red website. This is where I am originally from. Anonymous hacked the Big Red website to bring out the football players who allegedly raped a 16 year old girl.
