Well, it appears Burger King finally has run out of burger ideas.
Beginning Monday, counter help in Upstate and elsewhere will be able to stop saying "Would you like fries with that?" and begin asking "Do you want that without fries?"
That's when the fast-food chain's newest offering will debut -- the $1 French Fry Burger.
It's hardly innovative: Four fries on top of a standard beef patty.
“That’s sort of like a throw-on. It’s a nice, cheap way to add some novelty to the dollar menu," Leslie Kerr, president of the restaurant-pricing advisory firm Intellaprice, told Nation's Restaurant News.
"We’ve seen dollar snack wraps and other items that have appeal, but it’s hard to make the items interesting and compelling for the guest and keep that price point.”
