This new food took a decade to perfect, but they do not replace the regular Burger King's fries. Customers will have a choice in all Burger King stores in the United States.
So how are "Satisfries" different from Burger King's classic french fries?
The new french fries are crinkle-cut so the look is different. A small serving of Satisfries has 270 calories. Classic fries have 340 calories. Satisfries have only 11 grams of fat while classic fries have 15 grams of fat.
The lower calorie, lower fat Satisfries cost 20 cents to 30 cents more than the regular french fries. However, in the Kids' Meal, the price is the same.
It is interesting that Satisfries have the identical ingredients of the conventional fries; however, they are much healthier because of the re-configuring of the ingredients.
The proof of the success of Satisfries will show up when customers begin ordering them and liking them.
Kathie Lee and Hoda tasted the Satisfries on the "Today" show this morning, and they gave their stamp of approval.
According to Burger King's website, Satisfries are for a limited time only. So try them soon.
