Burger King admits horse meat in some burgers (Video)

News that some Burger King Restaurants may be selling burgers that contain horse meat might not surprise many. Recent reports showed DNA tests done on meat for Burger King in some areas of Ireland found horse meat in the burgers.

While some may respond it doesn't matter what animal the meat Burger King was selling came from because it is all meat, those paying the price for beef and not horse meat may disagree. The discussion is not about which animal the Burger King meat contains, but what a food item is labeled as when being sold.

Some consumers feel cows are being raised for human consumption, and it is okay to expect this to be in a Burger King Burger. Horses are not routinely used as food by most Burger King customers, and unsuspecting consumers are somewhat appalled to learn the truth about horse meat being in some burgers.

To date there have been no reliable claims that horse meat is in burgers served by Burger King in the United States. However, recent events elsewhere may have Burger King customers making other choices.
