With a scheduled release date for 2014, "Destiny" fans still have months of waiting in front of them. Luckily, the developers at Bungie keep fans engaged in anticipation with screenshots, information, and now box art. Today, the official box art for the game was revealed via the official "Destiny" Twitter page.
The first-person shooter will set players on a journey through a shared and persistent world where the Guardians attempt to recapture what humanity lost during the collapse. Gameplay videos show a handful of players scouting out an area before running into a public event. Several players come together for the event and then return to their own narrative afterward.
Of course, these events are optional and solo players should have no problem playing "Destiny" as well. Guns will, of course, be an important part of combat but Guardians also wield special powers in the game. More information on the game and its systems can be found on the official site.
Gamers are one step closer to getting their hands on the game with an official box art revealed. "Destiny" will be released on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in 2014. There is no firm release date yet.
