Bungie has revealed additional details regarding a few of the features in the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Destiny.” According to a report by QTE Gamers on Aug. 23, the company provided some new information regarding customization and social space elements for the shared-world first-person shooter at this year’s GamesCom conference.
The developer mentioned that players can personalize their aesthetics and gameplay styles. Among the customizable options include armor, weapons and the appearances of characters. Bungie previously confirmed that players will be able to acquire a different set of equipment based on the class type they have chosen. The weapons in the video game were also confirmed to feature upgradeable skill trees to further add to the customization options.
The personalization features can be used in every mode within “Destiny.” Players will be able to play as their customized characters in the main story, competitive matches and other scenarios.
Moreover, Bungie also talked a little bit about The City at GamesCom 2013. The company described the location as a “social space” where players can “rearm and repair” before heading out. Unlike the regular gameplay, exploring the city takes place from the third-person perspective.
“Destiny” is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One gaming systems. A release date has not yet been confirmed by Activision, the publisher of the project.
