In an interview with IGN, community manager Eric Osborne it’s a “massive opportunity” to reach such a large audience, but putting the game out on four platforms –– Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PS4 –– is already a “huge challenge.”
“We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC, and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money, but what we have to do is make sure we’re focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on,” Osborne said.
Osborne said Bungie is “100 percent” not going to spread itself thin working on another platform in PC because it would negatively affect Destiny on the other platforms.
“So right now we have four platforms, which is a lot to focus on,” Osborne said.
Destiny is set to release sometime in the spring or early summer of 2014, with the game's beta coming out just before then.
Early last month Osborne said Bungie wouldn’t be taking the Destiny beta release lightly, that the developer intends to treat it like a full-scale release.
