Bungie’s upcoming multiplayer sci-fi shooter, Destiny, is scheduled to launch only on home consoles and it now looks like that won’t be changing as the developer confirmed that the game defiantly won’t be releasing on PC at launch. As reported by Game Informer on Nov 4, Destiny senior writer Eric Osborne recently revealed that they decided to not develop a PC edition alongside console version of the game so that they wouldn’t take on more work than they could handle and end up creating a worse product as a result.
Osborne told IGN that the studios’ only focus at this time lies solely in releasing Destiny on home console systems. However, Bungie isn’t outright stating that the online shooter won’t ever release on PC. So there is a chance that a PC version of Destiny could eventually release, just not alongside the game’s initial console launch.
Destiny currently has no release date, but the game will come to Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 when it does launch.
