Are you one of those individuals who can’t stand to be confined to your house for more than a 24 hour period? Don’t let this cold weather defeat you. There are activities to participate in that will get you outside. Along with places to go that get you out of the house.
Downtown Fayetteville will be having its Fourth Friday Event from 7-9pm on January 25. As anyone who has been to one of these events can attest, it is a lot of fun to poke around the many stores that are open.
It’s also enjoyable to check out the restaurants and the coffee shops. Walking around and shopping can get exhausting so it’s pretty necessary to take a break. So it’s nice to have one location where you can do everything. Fourth Friday has plenty of entertainment to keep you and your family busy.
If you really want to have some fun, then just wait for the night life to kick into gear. Check out Huske Hardware, Lidos, Wet Willies, and many more restaurants that turn into a nightclub setting. A casual night in Downtown, Fayetteville can turn into an even more exciting experience.
If you, the family, and even your four legged friends desire to get out and about this weekend than, there is a 5k walk/run on Saturday January 26 at 9:00 am. It will take place at Hedrick Stadium on Fort Bragg. Just be sure to have your dogs on a leash.
There are going to be vendors or all kinds, plenty of families, and the great outdoors. You might be thinking there’s no way you are going to venture out of your warm house that early in the morning. But come on it is physical activity. It’s not like you are standing around outside for an extended period of time.
Get out there, witness the wonderful feeling of finishing a 5k, and get some free items from the vendors. If necessary, go to Starbucks first and get a nice hot beverage then mosey on over to Hedrick Stadium.
