Bunbury announces 2013 lineup

Last year was the first year for the Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio and it was remarkable. This year the event is scheduled for July 12-14, and the lineup is impressive. The three days will see more than 70 bands perform on several stages.

The festival venue is one of the things that makes Bunbury so awesome. It takes place at Sawyer Point, next to the Ohio River. There is plenty of shade and usually a breeze blowing in off the river. The event is fairly family friendly including playgrounds for the little ones. In fact, I took my young son to day three last year. The amenities include plentiful bathrooms, nearby parking, phone charging stations, hydration and cooling stations.

Last year's highlights included performances by Jane's Addiction, Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, and my favorite performance from Foxy Shazam. This year's headliners are Fun., MGMT, The National and Cincinnati's own Walk The Moon. As usual there will be plenty of local bands featured.

If you missed last year's festival, you need to put this on your to do list because ticket prices are a bargain for so much music.
