Bumpus Mills Offers Many Fun Recreational Activities

A good place to take the family away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city is Bumpus Mills, TN. This quiet little town is close to an area called Land Between the Lakes.

Bumpus Mills, located next to Lake Barkley, offers camping, hiking and other recreational activities. There are many different types of bird species located in Bumpus Mills; therefore, bird watchers can enjoy taking snapshots while watching these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Other wildlife that can be viewed in Bumpus Mills includes deer and wild turkey.

Across from Lake Barkley is another lake called Kentucky Lake. In between both of these lakes lies the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Center. This remote area is located up toward the Kentucky border between Nashville and Memphis.

Campers can enjoy hot showers, hookups, a marina, and many other amenities. The small campsite also offers a playground and a boat ramp.

Bumpus Mills is not only fun for camping and hiking – it also offers other recreational activities, such as live music, movie theaters, skiing, ice skating, and many others. There are often arts and entertainment activities as well.
