'Bumpin' Uglies' now free-to-play on iOS devices (Photos)

Today Jan. 24, 2013 Ham in the Fridge (developers of Adult Swim's "Five Minutes to Kill Yourself") released "Bumpin' Uglies," a new free-to-play title for iPhone and iPad.

In "Bumpin' Uglies" you create an "Ugly," which you then "fling" into a gene pool. You'll have to use "skill, logic and luck" to help your Ugly find its way through "worlds of quizzical physics-based puzzles." Along the journey you'll "bump" into other Uglies and "magical things happen," including mixing "physical traits."

Several features of "Bumpin' Uglies" include:

  • Bump through 45 levels of increasing challenge and fun, with even more for future release.
  • Collect and spend shineys to unlock levels or purchase them to speed up the process.
  • Get creative by designing an Ugly to look extra ugly or only kind of ugly, the choice is up to the player.
  • Share your Ugly on Facebook and Twitter and compete with your friends to get the most Bumplings.

According to an email received from Reverb Communications, President and Creative Director of Ham in the Fridge Bret Hummel said:

"We're certainly in on the joke with Bumpin' Uglies. The name may raise a few eyebrows, but it's a clever and addictive title with a lot of fun personality. People will love its pick-up-and-play nature, and the creative levels, the character customization and genetics system will keep them engaged and challenged to do better on each level."
