The Bump Android and iOS app lets users easily transfer files and videos between their smart phones and computers. PCMag.com announced this breaking story Feb. 14, 2013.
The Bump app is available for both Android and iOS smart phone devices. Users are able to share their files by tapping their phones together while the Bump app is open on each smart phone device. Bump recently released an update to its web portion of its app that lets users transfer files back and forth to any computer.
This new web feature will work seamlessly with both the Android and iOS versions of the Bump app. Also, it now means that anything you transferred between the Bump App on your smart phones, you will now be able to share those same files, videos, contacts, photographs, and contacts.
The team behind Bump wrote in their blog post on Thursday stating they want to make it simple for all users to share files between smart phones and computers. Their complete entry is quoted below:
No one ever says 'I sure look forward to syncing my phone with my computer!'" the Bump team wrote in a blog post Thursday. "We want to change that. Because really, it's the year 2013 — we have self-driving cars, private space exploration, 3D printers — but most folks have a hard time getting a video taken on their phone over to their laptop."
With this new update to the Bump app, the user now has limitless sharing and backup of all file types. The user can free up space on their phone by transferring all their videos files to their home computer. For the user's phone contacts, if they get a new phone they will be able to transfer their contacts from their old phone to the computer and then easily back to the new phone. The business user lets users Bump a presentation from their computer to a work computer with ease.

- Open the Bump app on your smart phone
- Select the files you would like to share
- Press the spacebar key and all the files you selected on your phone will appear on your computer
