In a move that has made many TNA fans, and pundits like myself happy, Bully Ray has finally become the new TNA world heavyweight champion. However, his methods for victory have the wrestling world buzzing. According to a March 10 report by WrestlingInc.com, the back and forth main event of LockDown ended when Bully Ray pinned Jeff Hardy after hitting him with a hammer to the back of the head. The hammer was given to Ray by his former tag-team partner, and bitter rival for the last 6 months, Devon.
After the match, Bully Ray reunited with Devon and joined the heel faction Aces & 8's. Bully would take the microphone and proceed to tell his on-air wife Brooke Hogan that she meant nothing to him and that he used her and Hulk Hogan to become world champion. This will most certainly set up a long-running feud between Bully Ray and Hulk Hogan.
Ray would also go on to reveal that he's the President of the Aces and 8's, which upset the crowd so much that they began throwing trash at the ring. The PPV ended with Ray holding up his world title and celebrating inside the cage with the rest of his group.
