The Bulls have granted permission to the Utah Jazz to interview assistant coach Adrian Griffin for its head coaching job.
According to Yahoo Sports, Griffin will be one of several candidates that Utah reaches out to in the next few days and that Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey is high on Griffin because of his defensive background under Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau. Utah allowed 102.2 points per game last season under Tyrone Corbin, who the Jazz parted ways with last month, opting not to renew his contract.
Griffin was one of four finalist last summer for the Philadelphia 76ers' head coaching job before they hired Brett Brown.
The 39-year-old is also reported to be a top candidate for the head coaching job in Cleveland after the Cavaliers fired Mike Brown earlier in the week.
