A bullied boy dies after his parents chose to take him off life support. On March 4, the sad news hit the internet, outraging people who are calling the boy's untimely death "murder." According to Mail Online, the young boy's bullies have only received a two-day suspension from school, but now that 12-year-old Bailey O'Neill is dead, they could face criminal charges.
"I would like to see these kids punished. Something has to be done. I don't know what's taking them so long," said Bailey's grandmother, Joy Fecanin. Police are currently investigating the incident that ultimately caused O'Neills death.
The bullied boy died just one day after his twelfth birthday which is heartbreaking in so many ways. As previously reported, Bailey O'Neill was punched in the face in the schoolyard back in January. He suffered a broken nose and a concussion -- and his health declined over the past month and a half.
According to Mail Online, O'Neill began having seizures. He suffered from vomiting and dehydration before coming down with pneumonia. His seizures and his condition got so bad that he had to be put in to a medically induced coma. His death is a tragedy that could have been avoided had the young kids who bullied him didn't do so. And now, people want justice. People want those bullies to be punished and to show others that bullying is not okay... ever.
The bullied boy dies with a legacy of sorts left behind. Bailey O'Neill should not have died and those boys who teased him and eventually punched him should have to pay. Do you agree?
