Bullied 11-year-old in coma after schoolyard fight

A bullied 11-year-old boy is in a coma after a schoolyard fight at a Darby Township School. The bullied boy's coma is medically induced to relieve swelling on his brain, according to a report from Thursday afternoon (Feb. 7).

The fight reportedly took place about for weeks ago at a Darby Township School. It is alleged that another student struck Bailey O'Neil in the face several times before he fell to the ground. He suffered a fractured nose in the ordeal, but what was worse is that he suffered a concussion that wasn't recognized at first.

Bailey apparently also wasn't acting like himself according to his father. His father stated, "He was sleeping. He was moody. He wasn't himself. He was angry a little bit. He wasn't really eating."

Within a few days, Bailey started having seizures that put him in the hospital and when it got too bad the doctors put him in a coma. He has now been in that coma for two weeks and his parents don't really know where to turn.

As for the kid who bullied 11-year-old Bailey, he was suspended for two days by the school but has since returned to classes. The investigation though, has reportedly been turned over to police to figure out if something should be done.
