"Building Yourselves Up!"(Jude 20)

20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,”(Jude 20)

Buildings are carefully planned. The plan proceeds into action. The land is purchased, surveyed, and building architect made the blueprint. The land is excavated to clear away the unnecessary. The foundation is laid, and the structure is formed. These are built upon by additional materials until the building is complete and is able to be used.

Prayer is a building material of faith. Jesus, the Chief Cornerstone, taught believers how to pray. The Holy Spirit also helps in the formation of faith as also a builder utilizing intercession. Consistent Bible reading and study, fasting, an obedient life, and other spiritual disciplines are part of the structure of faith. Each believer should consider and be careful to building on God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus.

Challenge: Believer, take inventory of your faith and plan to build it up toward the most High God. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are role models and will help you carry out the plans.
