About Do-Division Street Fest and Sidewalk Sale
For 10 city blocks of West Division Street (from Ashland to Leavitt), local restaurants, vendors, and musicians will provide festival-goers with the best food, beer, shopping opportunities, and music. The Festival Overview explains exactly which local businesses and entertainers will be participating in 2009.
The Around the Coyote 2009 Spring Art Festival will be taking place in the West Town neighborhood at the same time.
Family Fun Fest
The organized area for family-friendly activities is new this year and sponsored by local Chicago businesses like Building Blocks, Adventure Stage Chicago, and Whole Foods. The non-stop family entertainment will include face-painting, crafts, a bounce house, cookie-decorating, pony rides, and a petting zoo, as well as live musical performances on the Adventure Stage Chicago Family Stage by performers such as Mr. Singer & Kerry Appleberry and The Little Miss Ann Band.
All proceeds from the Family Fun Fest activities will go to support the local Chicago neighborhood elementary schools the A.N. Pritzker School and the LaSalle II Magnet School.
Events will run from noon to 6 p.m. each day, Saturday and Sunday.
