The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Sometimes, the need extends beyond that area. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.
Save Me Rescue of Kitchener, Ontario would like to introduce Bugsy, a young Shih Tzu/Maltese mix that was abandoned at the Windsor Humane Society after his caregivers welcomed a new baby into their home.
Bugsy is just over 4 years old and weighs 14 lbs. Currently in a foster home in Barrie, he is proving to be a well behaved dog who aims to please. The home has no children or cats, so it is unknown whether he gets along with them. However, he does like dogs and adores people, often sharing sweet kisses.
This little guy walks well on a leash but has had some basic training since he seems to have a mind of his own. According to his foster mom, he needs a person who is experienced with dogs and can continue his training.
“He’s had a rough go of things so far in his first four years.” She said it’s almost “heartbreaking to watch him try to please me so he too can be loved.”
If you would like more information and/or are considering adopting this dog, email contact@savemerescue.com and put ‘Pet Inquiry: Bugsy PFId#25342257’ in the subject line. You may also contact his foster mom via email at kfleming12@hotmail.com.
