CBS has a sure hit headed their way this fall with the new comedy The Crazy Ones. With David E. Kelley at the helm and the pairing of the brilliant Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar, audiences will not be disappointed when the show premieres Sep 27 at 9/8c. After Gellar’s short-lived stint on CW's Ringer she is headed for steady work this time on a show that centers on Williams’ role as the head of an advertising agency and his daughter. Working with a legendary comedian and Oscar winning actor Gellar will no doubt shine and delight her avid fans.
The beloved actress known for slaying Joss Whedon vampires and hunting Scooby Doo ghosts mentions that she has been searching to do a comedy for a long time. In an ETonline article she states "Ultimately that is what I wanted to do. To me, some of the greatest parts of Buffy were the funny moments. You get to a point where it's like, you know what? I've cried a lot. I'm ready to be funny. The interesting concept and great group of people caught his eye and convinced Williams to return to television 32 years after Mork and Mindy. The show also stars James Wolk, Hamish Linklater and Amanda Setton.
