Preservation Buffalo Niagara’s Buffalo Tours (617 Main Street) celebrates 2013 with fifty-seven entertaining events. The touring season has been expanded to include six hundred guided outings from May 1-December 31, 2013.
The official listing will be revealed in April (signup at BuffaloTours.org to receive a brochure) but here’s a sneak peek into the upcoming season. Queen City Downtown is a popular tour that visits Buffalo's iconic buildings. History buffs will delight in diving into the past to discover the city’s building blocks.
New events include the Miss Buffalo II’s War of 1812 boat tour, Happy Hour (downtown hotels and restaurants), Frank Lloyd Wright Day, Niagara’s hidden laboratory, Lancaster’s 200 year-old home and the Underground Railroad. Walking tours of Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Crime and Scandal, Downtown and Millionaire’s Row are also on the agenda.
Special one-time only events include: Twilight Tour of Mansions (June 21st) Search Party Scavenger Hunt (September 29th), Inside the West Side (September 21st), Museums by Moonlight (October 10th), Central Park Home (December 5th) and Sacred Spaces Holiday Bus Tour on December 28, 2013.
