Buffalo sports ideas: January 14th through 20th, 2013

Buffalo Sabres – the NHL lockout is over, and the Buffalo Sabres will be back on the ice of the First Niagara Center on Monday, January 14th at 5:30 p.m. for an open training camp scrimmage. Tuesday through Friday, January 15th through 18th, the team will be on the ice from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily, also open to the public. Open practices will be free, and parking in the attached ramp will be free for Monday night’s practice; there will also be family-friendly concession prices on Monday night. The Sabres’ schedule has also been announced – check the Sabres’ website for the complete schedule.

Buffalo Bandits – the Bandits visit the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday January 19th at the Blue Cross Arena; face-off is 7:30 p.m. Visit www.bandits.com for the complete schedule and to purchase tickets for Bandits’ home games.

Buffalo Junior Sabres – the Junior Sabres continue their season with two games this week: Tuesday, January 15th at home at the Northtown Center at Amherst against the Orangeville Flyers (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday, January 19th at the Hamilton Red Wings (7:30 p.m.). Rochester Amerks - the Amerks visit the Binghampton Senators on Wednesday, January 16th (7:05 p.m. face-off) and host the Syracuse Crunch on Friday, January 18th (7:05 p.m. face-off). Visit www.amerks.com for the complete schedule and to purchase tickets.
