This week the Tonawanda Restaurants Examiner traveled the globe, sampling Chinese, Thai, Indian and Mediterranean cuisines. Did you miss a review this week? Do not fear, here's the recap:
May Jen Chinese Restaurant in Amherst, NY: fantastic food, not your run-of-the-mill Chinese take-out. If you have time, dine in and enjoy the elegant, but casual and comfortable atmosphere at May Jen.
Spicy Thai Restaurant in Amherst, NY: the atmosphere at Spicy Thai is fun, comfortable and relaxed. If Bob the owner is waiting tables, he'll make it even more fun and suggest some great dishes that aren't even on the menu. Don't pass up the grouper, it's fantastic.
Taste of India in Amherst, NY: another elegant but comfortable and casual restaurant. The best place for Indian food in all of Western New York. Don't be afraid to ask the waitstaff for their recommendations.
Falafel Bar on Allen Street in Buffalo, NY: five-star food in a relaxed, casual setting. Right in the heart of Allentown, Falafel Bar has been voted Best Middle Eastern Restaurant since 2005. The menu has more than just falafel, so don't think you'll be limited.
