Louie's Texas Red Hots is expanding its footprint in the Buffalo market. The company's newest location will be at Elmwood Avenue and West Utica Street.

That will bring to six the number of venues the regional chain occupies. The existing ones are at 777 Harlem Road in West Seneca; 4890 Transit Road in Depew; 3905 Southwestern Boulevard in Orchard Park, and 2350 Delaware Avenue and 2811 Bailey Avenue in Buffalo. The Bailey Avenue location was the first Louie's, founded in 1967 by Louie Galanes. The company also offers a mobile catering service (716-998-4687).

While the Louie's name conjures up images of hot dogs and all the fixin's, the breakfast and lunch menus go well beyond that. Among its specialty items are a variety of souvlaki sandwichs, Polish- and Italian-sausage sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, soups and salads and three-egg omelettes. The breakfast menu is offered 'round-the-clock.
