Buffalo Bisons unveil new home, road and alternate uniforms

The Buffalo Bisons will have an exciting new look when they begin a new era in Buffalo baseball on Opening Day, April 4, 2013 at Coca-Cola Field. The team last week unveiled their new home, road and alternate uniforms that combine performance technology from Russell Athletic with a design that honors both the team’s past and its future.

The uniforms include a pair of new official on-field caps, produced by the New Era Cap Company.

In the creation of their new uniforms, the Bisons paid special attention to popular team jerseys from the past. The use of a “Scarlet Red” lettering and “Reflex Blue” numbers on the front of the “Ice White” home and gray road uniforms was taken from the jerseys worn by the team in the early years of Coca-Cola Field. A “Hitting Buster” has also returned to the team’s official on-field cap, a look Bisons fans have long enjoyed from those first seasons at the ballpark.

The alternate jersey pays special tribute to the team’s new affiliation with the Toronto Blue Jays. The numbering on the front and back is the same style incorporated by the Herd’s new major league parent club. The alternate jersey will also feature a binational patch on the sleeve displaying the American and Canadian flags together.
