As part of the 2010 NFL season, three teams will play in the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, in what is officially known as the Bills In Toronto series.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Buffalo Bills
During the preseason, the Indianapolis Colts will face the Buffalo Bills as their second pre-season game on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 7:30 pm. The Colts are the defending AFC Champions, featuring star players like Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark, and future hall-of-famer Peyton Manning.
Chicago Bears vs. Buffalo Bills
When the Chicago Bears play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 1 pm ET, it will be the Bears’ first regular season game outside of the United States in the franchise’s 90-year history. The team has played 5 international preseason games. The Bears-Bills matchup will be broadcast on the Fox Network.
Chicago Bears President and CEO Ted Phillips is excited about traveling to play in Canada. “Playing a regular season game in Toronto will be a great opportunity to showcase Bears football in front of a new market.” The Bears’ roster includes Israel Idonije, a Defensive Tackle from Manitoba. “It should be a special moment for him,” Phillips commented, “and I know the rest of our coaches and players are excited as well. We look forward to the opportunity.”
Bears Coach Lovie Smith also stated that “our game in Toronto will allow us to play in front of a Canadian fan base that loves football.”
NFL Tickets Available April 27th
Tickets for both games will go on sale on Tuesday, April 27th at 11 am through the new BillsInToronto.com website. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets to both games at the same time, and receive a special pricing offer for doing so.
Upper bowl tickets at the Rogers Centre start at $65 per game. Club level seats are $97.50 per game, and Lower bowl seats start t $155.00 per game. VIP seating is also available, with all sorts of special bonuses, but only by calling 416-341-1440.
