Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) has launched a cross-platform mobile application, the Buffalo Bayou Guide, for iPhone and Android phone users, and is one of the first parks in Houston to do so.
Serving as a travel companion for Buffalo Bayou Park users, the application highlights the bayou area from Shepherd Drive to downtown’s Allen’s Landing, and identifies the location of parks, recreational areas, points of interest, artwork, parking and access, amenities and future plans. It is now available via free download at the iTunes store for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices running iOS 5.0 or higher and the Google Play store for all Android devices running version 2.3.3 and up.
“The timing of the inception of our partnership with the Pariveda Solutions team was ideal,” said Trudi Smith, director of PR and events, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, “Our printed trail map had just been completed and a mobile application seemed like the logical next step in providing Buffalo Bayou Park users with the most optimal resources available to explore and enjoy the bayou, and stay abreast of the exciting changes taking place. We are thrilled with the final product presented by Pariveda Solutions and their outstanding group of interns.”
