The budget cuts which may harm many innocent people require look into past and present from the perspectives: Who was/is guilty to have such measures?
One of the millions reasons is that government/state funds have been using by people in a form of grants and/or salaries who have been corrupting the social practices. Because of such people innocent will be hurt badly.
Typical is the case with professors like Ruth Tringham and Elisabeth Cashdan. In fact the list of professors who need immediately to leave their chairs is probably endless. They not only deteriorate the education with corruptive practices, but also get additional funds for field research and publications which do not have qualities required for the 21st century and in fact contribute to decreasing of the values of culture in society, respectively of increasing of crime and corruption.
Most shaming is that such persons have been trying to look innocent to society, although being without responsibility to society. In the last book published by Tringham as a co-editor, the readers will see several pictures without any value for the publication in which Tringham stays in most innocent (in fact dilettante) postures like trying to convince the next generations that all the truth that have been coming out about her violence in society does not concern her. This is a sort of absolute arrogance which has been damaging the society because Tringham has wasted a huge amount of taxpayers money to have attempted a successful career based on absence of sufficient knowledge and on non-ethical harmful and aggressive behavior. Similarly, Elisabeth Cahsdan has harmed society with non-ethical behavior, absence of enough quality scholarly products and hurting people.
The worst part of social measures is always the harm of innocent people. The sacrifice for society will take victims which should call really for most serious criticism of the current academic employees and general changes by involving in the academic life of people who would like to contribute to help society and who will be responsible, not just people who wait for paychecks and harm other people.
