Zydeco music pioneer Buckwheat Zydeco will play the Temple for Performing Arts Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Live at the Temple concert series. Zydeco has performed with the likes of Eric Clapton (with whom he also recorded), U2, and the Boston Pops. Zydeco and his band have performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Summerfest, San Diego Street Scene, Bumbershoot, Montreaux Jazz Festival, the Voodoo Experience, presidential inaugurations, and the closing ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics. Born Stanley Dural, Jr., Buckwheat Zydeco has recorded more than 20 albums and has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. Tickets for the show are $29 to $39 (plus taxes and fees), and there are only a few left.

Music legends Crosby, Stills, and Nash will play the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a group and again as members of other groups. David Crosby was inducted as a member of the Byrds, Stephen Stills was inducted as a member of Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash was inducted with the Hollies. The folk rock group was also inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame collectively and individually. Crosby, Stills, and Nash played at the original Woodstock (with Neil Young) in 1969, and they have been honored with a BMI Icon Award. Seven of their albums have gone platinum or multi-platinum, and the group has three #1 albums and fifteen Top 40 singles. Tickets for the show are sold out.
