Bucks County resident and author, Lesley Grigg, to launch debut young adult novel, REMEMBER, with theatrical reading, live music, and more at the Village Players of Hatboro on Sunday, September 15th from 2-5 PM
Compelling stories can capture attention whether told on the page or on the stage, so why not combine the two creative mediums and see what transpires. This was the idea behind holding a book launch party and signing at a local community theater.
When Lesley Grigg released her first young adult novel, REMEMBER, she wanted to celebrate in an unique way. Since the story is centered on an eighteen-year-old thespian who finds both fulfillment and love in the theater, it was only fitting to mark the publication of this coming-of-age story on a real stage and honor many forms of art.
The event will take place on Sunday, September 15th from 2-5 PM at the Village Players of Hatboro (401 Jefferson Ave., Hatboro, PA, www.thevillageplayers.com). This free and public book launch party will kick-off with a scene from the novel being acted out on the VPH stage, followed by a book signing by the author. Guests will be treated to refreshments and live music from past VPH president, Fran Carroll, and there will also be opportunities to tour the historic theater.
REMEMBER is the story of Neviah Ambrosi, a theater enthusiast and love-struck teenager who finds herself in the hospital with no recollection of how she got there. In addition to solving her own medical mystery, she’s faced with the slow unraveling of her family, a boyfriend who is MIA, and keeping her thoughts from an evil doctor. Things take a turn towards the paranormal when Nev discovers her mind is more powerful than she ever imagined. Nev must use her memories to find herself, find her true love, and find the strength to do what she must to save her family.
Copies of REMEMBER are now available in paperback and for Kindle through amazon.com/author/lesleygrigg. A limited number of books will be on sale at the signing for $15, and a portion of the proceeds will go to support the Village Players of Hatboro. While REMEMBER is a young adult novel, it is also the perfect book for anyone who loves the theater and enjoys coming-of-age stories with a touch of the paranormal.
