Buckeye Firearms Association to give free Instruction to teachers (Video)

As reported in an article published in The Northwest Signal on January 10, 2013 the Buckeye Firearms Association has initiated an "Armed Teacher Training Program" - designed to present advanced gun training including sections on first aid and other associated points of interest free of charge.. The general goal of this program is to enable school administrators and teachers in Ohio to acquire a concealed carry permit, and aid in assisting course graduates in gaining permission to possess concealed weapons during working hours.

According to Buckeye Firearms Association Chairman Jim Irvine the response to fill the 24 spots in the course has far surpassed expectations - over 650 applications have been received thus far and will be screened in the near future as part of the selection process. Of the current applicants for the course over 50 percent already possess a concealed carry permit, but many others have no prior experience with firearms.
