The moments that make you smile or laugh, and the times that you do not want to let go of the ones you love. Those sunny days that just put you in the best of moods and the light that shines down upon you when the sky is filled with pervading clouds, just fills you heart with much contentment. People yearn for those good moments; those precious instances that make people feel so alive.
Alas, once the dark skies move in and the thunder begins to roll, people hide; bury their hearts into the great abyss. Once lightning strikes and rain begins to pour, people weep and moan about such adversities. People are indeed sinful, and not only for their disbeliefs, but for their haughtiness, egocentricity and callous nature that has developed into our society norms.
Young people today are truly living in a world of distortion and ostentatious mannerisms that they simply accept as a reality. There is hardly anyone who stands up for the righteous being of good and decency. What has happened to the understanding that God is put first and everything else is only secondary? Why have people become so ugly on many ruinous levels?
So what if life has its downsides more often than its upsides. Society is truly in their own little effervesces, with a fractional view of mere oblivion. Life will continue to be difficult, the economy will only worsen, more people will become destitute, and everyone will be humbled for their deceitful and slothful ways of existence.
This is not a rant towards the declination of mankind, unfortunately the deterioration has already commenced decades ago. The point is that we all are forgetting God. There is a large population of newer generations of young people who refuse to know or accept our Lord and Savior on any account. Even the ones, who do believe, have lost the will to better themselves and to listen to God. People choose to follow their own instincts and gut feelings of tenacious temptations that will only lead them farther and farther from Him.
Where have all of God’s innocent lambs gone? The world is filling up with more goats each day and with no chance of discontinuing. Unfortunately, this is indeed the beginning of the end. Our beautiful earth, God’s greatest gift to us is tarnishing before our eyes and it is only due to the fault of man, and man alone. If our ozone is depleting, it is our fault. If pollution is escalating, it is the culpability of man. We blame everything on everyone but not the ones accountable. Buck up and take responsibility for yourself. Show some humility before God. Do it now, before it is too late.
