One night, a few years ago, I was up late surfing netflix and found a movie called Bubba Ho-tep. It was hilarious. But also kind of sweet. Definitely a good 3am, order chinese food netflix flick.
Anyway.
I was reading the newspaper, and found out that the director, Don Coscarelli (who also directed Phantasm- remember that one?) has a new film coming out called John Dies at the End. I got super excited, because Bubba Ho-tep had an original concept, clever writing, good acting, and made me laugh out loud more than once.
Turns out that John Dies at the End is based on a book by David( Jason Pargin) Wong. (Yes, I just reserved it at the library). It's about soy sauce, zombies, and saving the world. The trailer is insane. Paul Giamatti is in it, and so is that guy from Pet Sematary, Clancy Brown. It just opened January 25th, and I wholeheartedly reccommend going to see it.
Just watch out for the soy sauce, ok?
