According to Cinema Blend on Aug. 16, director Bryan Singer tweeted "X-Men: Days of Future Past" pictures of familiar artifacts or props on his Twitter feed. They seem to point back to the original "X-Men: First Class" film. One could speculate that this may be a scene of a museum display that takes place in the mutants' future and could represent remnants from the past.
Though these props may be representative of when the original director, Matthew Vaughn, had left the franchise when he worked on "X-Men: First Class".
If some fans have not been keeping up with Bryan Singer's Twitter feed, fans still have an opportunity to follow him to keep current on his latest photos. Singer also had a picture of what looked to be Mystique's leg doing damage to a man's throat as well as his sizable Sentinel robot.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.
