According to Huffington Post on Feb. 11, Bryan Singer, director of “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, discussed Alan Cumming and his future with the Nightcrawler character.
Mike Ryan of Huffington Post talked with Singer during an interview about the new movie “Jack the Giant Slayer”. When asked about Nightcrawler’s role in the future of “X-Men”, he had this to say:
”[Laughs] Yeah, I know. I don't want to ... sometimes you don't want to say "yes" or "no" to something that may not be a "yes" or a "no," or anything. I haven't decided yet, a few things. I'm still, you know -- there are certain aspects of the script that I'm still toying with”.
“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is based off the comic book story arc where both time lines intersect and Kitty Pride has to prevent an assassination of a senator that is a pivotal influence that can impact the existence of the mutant population. Sentinels populate the Earth taking all living mutants. It is utter chaos in the alternate reality.
Cumming is two-time Emmy nominee for “The Good Wife” and returns to Broadway for his one man interpretation of “Macbeth”.
