Bryan Nadeau talks about Ihu's Breakaway Falls, coming to Aquatica May 9

It may feel like winter is lasting forever, especially if you're not in Florida, but in reality spring is just around the corner. This year, one of the new spring attractions in Orlando is Ihu's Breakaway Falls, a record-breaking water slide opening at the Aquatica water park on May 9.

Ihu's Breakaway Falls will be 105 feet tall, and riders will plummet 80 feet, dropping half of that distance nearly vertical. There will actually be four water slides, of which three will have breakaway floors for an added measure of excitement and anticipation.

If you'd like to peek behind the construction walls and see how this new water slide is coming along, jump to this article. To hear directly from Bryan Nadeau, Vice President of Aquatica Orlando, check out the video accompanying this article. He talks about the ride's statistics and what brave riders can expect if they can bring themselves to ascend to the top, step into the tube, and wait for that major drop. Those with the most guts can ride all four of the slides, since each one is different.
