Bryan Fischer: Transgender people can "cure" themselves through prayer

Keith Ablow does not need the support of anyone on Earth in the scientific or medical communities. He will continue to get away with pushing his bigotry and conspiracy theories as fact as long as there is someone else equally bankrupt of morality willing to parrot it back to them.

When Ablow asserted that transgenders do not exist, American Family Radio's Bryan Fischer was more than happy to repeat it.

"Who are the people operating in the realm of science?" asked Fischer. "Well, it's us because we know you're either male or female by DNA assigned to them at the moment of conception by a creator God who doesn't make those kind of mistakes."

Like Ablow himself, Fischer's assertion relies on a deliberate ignorance of the difference between sex and gender.

Fischer took the lie even further, in fact, by claiming that transgenderism is caused by Satan and can be defeated through prayer.

"If we embrace the truth that we find in the Scriptures," Fischer claimed, "that you are either male or female, DNA does lie, anatomy doesn't life, and you take authority over any lie that comes into your mind, then you eventually will be thinking straight about your sexual identity. So we're the ones that are operating in the realm of science here."

Except that science never once entered into Fischer's equation. Name-dropping it here and there doesn't count.

The American Family Association's truth detector is still broken.
