A Bryan Cranston role as Lex Luthor may calm down the angry fans who are protesting the Ben Affleck as Batman casting. According to Zap2it on Aug. 24, Warner Bros. has cast Cranston in the role, although Warner Bros. have not officially announced it yet.
The Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor rumors started earlier this month when Latino Review announced they knew who was playing the Superman bad guy and gave out some hints to who was winning the role.
The hints were that the actor was a TV star whose show was coming to an end ("Breaking Bad") and will appear in a big blockbuster from Warner Bros. in 2014 ("Godzilla"). The Bryan Cranston role was widely accepted by many fans, especially those who have fallen in love with the actor after his amazing performance on "Breaking Bad."
It appears that, if Cranston is playing Lex Luthor in the upcoming movies, Warner Bros. may hold off on announcing it until "Breaking Bad" ends next month. The rumors indicate that Cranston signed on for a large number of films, much like Ben Affleck did for Batman, and that number may be between six and 10.
The Bryan Cranston role is still just considered a rumor right now, as no other major sites are reporting on it yet and neither Warner Bros. nor Cranston's reps have commented yet.
